Where to Begin ?

There are quite a few people who have been helping with this project.  I'd like to thank them here - and this list is sure to grow.

Rick

First off, my husband, who probably never imagined spending all his spare time restoring a Rambler. I remind him that the first time we spoke on the phone, I ran his ear off talking about the car.  And, yes, I WILL let him drive it.  He's earned it ( I NEVER let my boyfriends drive my car...ever ever ever.)

Second, our son.  This is all his fault, you see, because whenever we would visit my Dad, my son would insist that I sit in the Rambler with him.  I resisted.  I didn't want to see how far she had degraded.  Then I relented, and sat in the driver's seat again.  The interior was like a time capsule.  It was still as beautiful as ever, and so little had changed in 20 years. If it hadn't been for Matthew's vision, we never would have started this project. Yeah, I'll let him drive it, too.

Dad

It's hard to see but that's my Dad at the wheel. He bought the car new, and kept it around for YEARS until I could bring her home. I'm going to have to let him drive it as well, only maybe not QUITE so fast as he used to.

The Rest

This is a long list - so I'll try to make it short.

The local guys - Auto Tech, Flagstaff Engine, NAPA and Checker, Ace Upholstery, Muffler Magic, Vintage Auto Salvage,   Auto Clinic.

The AMC vendors - Galvin's and Kennedy's and Blaser's. Pat Walsh, Mac McCoy, and assorted ebay folks.

The Old Car Part vendors  - No Dak and Collectors Auto

The helpful folks on the AMC Forum, the AMC Heritage Forum, and the AMCRC members board. What would I have done without the internet? From answering questions to offering encouragemtnt - it's a great community. Thank you -- all.

My friends who try not to let their eyes glaze over too much when I RAMBLE on about the car. They've learned not to ask the question, "So what's going on with the car?"
