Where to Start?

Picture
Every project has to start somewhere.  These are pictures of Lovely Rita at the start of this process.  I am not sure exactly where we will end up.  My idea is to have a nice driver again.  Will we do more?  Maybe.  One thing I know - it will be grand to drive this road queen again.  This picture shows where this car sat for twenty years, preserved and protected, and slumbering until "one day" came along.

We rented a trailer to haul Rita from my Dad's place, where she had been stored, to ours. The next set of pictures show this process, including one of her in route - in Needles, CA, where it was topping 110 degrees.  Praise goes to the Durango, our big red beast. After twelve hot hours, we pulled into our driveway....Rita was in her new home.
